• A perfect choice in Maldon - A delightful heritage building with a sunny verandah to read the papers. Spacious bedroom with comfy bed & quality bedding. A delicious breakfast basket with local goodies and hosts who go that bit extra to make you feel at home.

  • There is a very good reason this beautifully restored country house is the top B&B in Maldon. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcome - hosts Amanda and Andrew invite you into their home and make you feel like you belong. I was very tired and stressed when I arrived, but within half an hour, my city anxiety had worn away as I listened to the birds and admired the beautifully restored rooms. Breakfast was extraordinary - croissants, bread, eggs, bacon and fresh fruit, all local produce. I didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. The hosts gave me excellent recommendations for things to do and see in Maldon, and where to eat. They ensured that my first trip to Maldon in over thirty years was memorable and made me want to come back. The house is located just a few minutes’ walk from the historic township, which means you can easily visit the shops and the Sunday markets if you’re in town on the right weekend, and there are some lovely walks in the vicinity. But best of all is the house itself - a stunning old beauty. I felt so relaxed reading on the cool verandah overlooking the sprawling English garden. I will definitely be back next time I need to recharge my batteries ...

  • The most beautiful place and gorgeous hosts. From the moment we walked in we were made very welcome. Everything was perfect and topped off by a delicious breakfast. We will most definitely be back. Great weekend.

  • As you come to the threshold of the sweetest town in the historical goldfields precinct, Maldon, you' ll see the most beautiful guest house and B&B in the region, Palm House. If my palette were not colours but compliments it doesn't matter how my brushstrokes caressed the canvass I would finish with a delightful masterpiece when talking about this place. This place is simply a gem. The house is an elegant and precious piece of heritage architecture. The guest rooms are simply awe inspring. Guests have an adjoining lounge area that rivals any of the finest in Europe. The surrounding gardens are a magical array of fruit trees, native flowers and other delights that owners architect Andrew and interior designer Amanda have personally designed. Breakfast is also a wonderful affair that you can enjoy preparing in your light-filled guest's kitchen. Delicious fresh croissants, locally sourced honey, Margaret river yogurt, delicious bacon , fresh fruit and so much more wait for you in the morning in a thoughtfully packed hamper. A guest house requires something very special from its hosts and Palm House's new owners and hosts Amanda and Andrew have this as their very special gift......... What's that special quality?........it's welcome. So if you want your stay in Maldon to be an unforgettable one filled with warmth, smiles and welcome please take your friends, special someone or lover by the hand and step over Palm House's threshold.

  • We came for a badly needed rest, and were thrilled with the choice we made. Very cosy, and our room, the cream room, with the spa, was extremely comfortable. Wendy cooked us lovely breakfasts, and the fact that there is a kitchen for all to use was an added bonus. The location is also only a short walk to a beautiful historic town, with it's lovely shops and restaurants. Would definitely go there again.
