The iconic, historically persevered township of Maldon, is located in the Central Goldfields of Victoria. Steeped in rich gold mining history, the region is home to stunning architecture reminiscent of days gone by. Explore the many antique shops, boutiques and art galleries Maldon has to offer or take a journey aboard the Victorian Goldfields Steam Railway that runs regularly throughout the year between the historic townships of Castlemaine and Maldon.

The Maldon Taste of Gold Food and Wine trail allows foodies to sample a delightful range of farmgate produce and local wines. Maldon also hosts a Handmade/Homegrown market in the main street once a month.

Visitors to the region can also enjoy the Maldon Historic Reserve where history from the gold rush era has been preserved, including kilns, stone walls, relics of machinery and mullock heaps. Enjoy the landscape atop Mt Tarrangower where you can enjoy 360˙ views from the lookout. Fishing, sailing and other watersports can all be enjoyed at the nearby Cain Curran Reservoir.
